Artist Reception July 18, 2019 6PM to 9PM

De Colores solo exhibition is inspired by the Spanish folk song of the same name. The lyrics of the song are an expression of joy and celebration of all creation with its many bright colors. Through my sculptural process, I carve out space for myself to be at peace with my thoughts and my materials, focusing on repetition of shapes, color schemes and a feeling or idea that is working it’s way out. I will also be exhibiting installation work titled,” Para Comer” inspired by my memories growing up in McAllen Texas and crossing the Reynosa border bridge as a teenager.
